I am a registered psychologist who previously worked in Queensland Government Disability Services (South West Region). I have walked the autism journey alongside a family member. This, along with my postgraduate qualifications in autism (Griffith University) has given me a deep understanding of life on the autism spectrum.

People in need of support often struggle to access services.

Until they do, their needs may not be understood and are often unmet. This can negatively impact quality of life, emotional, social and psychological health, both presently and into the future.

My vision is that psychometric assessment is the first step to improved well-being. My mission is motivated by lived experience of the immense benefit of psychometric testing for understanding support needs.

Information is gathered from parents, partners, the child, teachers or other carers through interview, self-report, questionnaires, but also observations. I use evidence-based assessments widely accepted by allied health and medical practitioners.

My prices are competitive, consistent with my aim and mission to make assessment services accessible. I work from the Brisbane northern suburbs and the Bremer Specialist Centre in Ipswich. I also provide tele-health where suitable and mobile (outreach service) where accessing the clinic is difficult.

Some specific tests do require a quiet, interruption free environment which we can discuss when we chat .

My fee is $220 per hour for both therapy and assessments. My report writing fee is consistent with the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fees. The total fee for a cognitive assessment is $1,187. This includes initial interview, two hour assessment session, report and feedback meeting. If you are concerned there may be an intellectual disability, you will also need an adaptive behaviour assessment at an additional fee of $455.

I can provide you with an initial screening on social communication behaviour and other mental health concerns that give an indication of the likely presence of autism or ADHD, but also indicators for anxiety and depression. You can start with screening before you request a full assessment, or go straight to an autism-specific assessment.

If you working with a paediatrician or other specialist who is recommending only particular assessments such as the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, these are also invoiced at $220 per hour, with the report being charged separately. The ADOS-2 is a one-hour observation assessment and the ADI-R takes 2 hours.

A full autism assessment is $2,589 if it includes a cognitive (IQ) test. This includes a report and feedback session and assessment with the ADOS-2, ADI-R, and Vineland-3 adaptive behaviour assessment. Included is the WISC-5 (children) for cognitive assessment and questionnaires for completion by parents/carers and teachers. These questionnaires help to identify issues with social interaction and the presence of mental health concerns such as anxiety or depression. You may not require an IQ test or Vineland-3 which will reduce the fee.

Payment process

Payment is as-you-go, with an invoice generated for each session. This invoice is payable within 7 days. A final invoice for the report must be paid prior to the report handover. Please raise with me if you need an alternate payment process.
